Mark Schuit (The Hague, 1997) is a composer and sound designer,
specializing in music for film, animation, and other visual media. His musical journey began at the age of eight with piano lessons, gradually expanding to include both jazz and classical techniques.
After a brief period studying Creative Producing at Codarts, he transferred to HKU University of the Arts Utrecht, where he graduated in 2022 with a degree in Music and Technology, specializing in Composition for the Media.
Throughout his studies, he gained experience in both composition and sound design across various projects. His activities included giving piano lessons and teaching music production, performing live piano in several theater productions and providing music and sound design for organizations and various short films. Until 2023, he worked part-time at DPI Animation House.
Since 2023, he has been operating independently as a composer and sound designer under the name Music by Mark Schuit. By combining a technical background with conceptual thinking, he aims to create music and sound that strengthen any production or visual experience. At the same time, he continues to expand his own musical explorations, further developing his personal style.
In addition to his work in applied music, he composes under his own name as well. One of his main personal projects is Markscapes, which explores atmospheric compositions, electronic layers, and acoustic elements—serving as a creative space to discover new sounds and worlds.
